Cortana Privacy Issues

I have till now avoided using Cortana because I'm wary of privacy issues.  I just got a new computer and am tempted to try it.  Anyone have an informed opinion?

Which kind of privacy issues do you really worry? The big firms (Apple, Google, Microsoft etc.) anyway got your info one way or the other, so at least enjoy it in the meantime...
