So people in Chicago are offering money to set up their girls.

Basically there are two tiers.
Girls over 20- $100 for one date, 300 additional for 4 dates.
Girls over 25- $250 for one date, 250 additional for 4 dates. (The Hamodia article didn't say what happens if she turns 25 between the first and fourth date.)

So, I will set up anyone who wants with a Chicago girl over 25. You each get 100, and I get 50.
Go to Shallots, go wherever. It's on the house. You can do a nice date for $200, and if it's really that bad, you can sit at separate tables.
I personally recommend coming in separate cars also.

If a girl is worthy of dating, I'd gladly date her for free. Compensating me for it makes me wonder if there's something I don't know that should deter me (that they're trying to compensate for with compensation).

The hamodia article didn't say it is only for singles.
It just said the girls parents need to live in chicago. So we can do this in NY also. I'd be willing to eat at Mike's Bistro with a random chicago girl.

I personally think that this topic belongs in: "just shmooze", because it doesn't seem that anybody took this issue serious, all the people are just about to joke around with this.

I think that a boy that is about to date girls, definitely won't search on dansdeals for ideas.

It kinda stinks for the girls though... get strung along for four dates only so the guy can cash in (even though he knows its not gonna happen after 2 dates)

1. The money is for the shadchanim, so basically they are trying to have the middlemen (women?) push their product. It's very common business practice to give incentives to the middlepeople.

In addition, there are hundreds of girls that can seem the same on paper. There might not be an obvious reason to date one over the other. I believe the intention of this bonus is, when all things are equal, why not choose Chicago? (I'm trademarking that slogan, so I better not see it in next weeks Hamodia ad)
