Beginning of the end for Costco/Google Express?

In LA, there is now a BIG price difference between Costco store price and Google Express/Costco ordering.  Examples: Kirkland TP 15.99 in store vs. $19.56.  Kirkland Paper Towels $15.69 in store vs. $19.01.  Pecan Halves $14.99 in store vs. $17.78.  Etc.

I often remarked as we watched them doing fulfillment at our local Costco "I wonder how they make money with this?"  Well, apparently, they weren't.  A friendly Costco associate told me today that he heard rumors they were shutting down the Google Express/Costco in LA in September.  I have heard they have also raised the online prices in Las Vegas.  Anybody have any other news or insights?  This happened within the last few weeks.

I just got Costco sale pricing on Kleenex and CHeerios.

it makes it completely unusable. even with coupons and sales it just isnt efficient to use GE for costco. Walmart, Target and stop & shop are still good uses of GE especially with coupons like the 20% off that just expired

Depends on the item. For instance, DW only likes their baby wipes and that is listed as normal $20 price for me in NJ.

Did your DW try the Target brand (Up and UP) wipes. We actually like them better than Kirkland, and price is much better.

We used to use them, and many Kirkland items are indeed excellent value (I find the Kirkland diapers better than Huggies), but for wipes I've switched to Up and Up which are cheaper on any day than even sale price for Kirkland, and very often there are promos with Target GC that bring the prices even lower.

When I was ordering from Costco on GE it would ship from a store in MA.

I just checked my GE app and prices are higher. What items did you order that were the same price?
