As the OP, I am stunned by the crass and mean response.  Sorry if I troubled you.  I am recovering from an accident that nearly took my life and now must contend with living on disability rather than the lucrative position I once held.  I deal with pain 24/7 and am doing my best.  This IS my research and I assumed that there would be helpful people on this site.  There seem to be, but they are overshadowed by a personality that obviously has zero derech eretz.  Thanks for making my experience here embarrassing and upsetting.

You did nothing wrong and should not be embarrassed.
Nor has anyone below pointed hate your way... it was a scuffle between DDF Members outside of your question.

Hi.  I wasn't able to jump on the Chase Sapphire 100,000 pt. intro rate so I have not applied for any new card as of yet.  Is there a hotel card that would stand out for a two week trip to Jerusalem?  Hyatt, Hilton, etc?  I'd prefer to not have a ridiculous spending threshold.  Thank you!
Not many point options in Jerusalem, at least not affordable point options. Since it sounds like you are pretty new to this my suggestion would be to go for something like Barclays arrival plus card. You will earn 50,000 points that can be redeemed for a little over $500 in travel expenses. No hoops to jump through. As long as it posts as travel you can redeem against it. Not a high spending threshold either.

Tzifanya54, thank you for your advice as well as your kindness.
My pleasure. There are also deals to be had through Expedia and Hotels.com and other travel sites. Keep your eyes open for deals that come up. Check On the Road section of the forums. Deals for hotels will be posted there.

+1 I'm sorry if I caused the OP to feel hurt at all by my responses here. My problem wasn't really with you per se but rather with the state of the forums in general and I'm sorry I took it out on you. If you remember I was trying to be helpful in the thread you started a few months ago and if you have any future questions you can feel free to PM me at any time. Again, I apologize that this whole thing ended up leaving you with a bad taste about DDF and I realize that I was being insensitive to your situation.
