Was wondering how many people here buy health insurance when traveling.

Never have, but definitely something I'd think about with a family or on an extended trip, especially to a place with poor health infrastructure

Sure. It's cheap, and I get it anyways for the trip cancellation coverage etc.

I have been purchasing lately when I go over seas. With Chase Reserve if you book the flight it is included.

Depends on where I'm traveling. Doesnt cost a lot and I know too many people who got screwed/ saved.

It's always something I know I should do, but never have. I guess if I found some good recommendations for it, and the price is right, I'd do it.

It's like when you buy renters Insurance, it's very cheap and could cover over 100K for damages but most people for some odd reason don't have it, as it would be a massive help if someone G-D forbid had a fire.
So would the travel Insurance help pay to get you back home if C"V something would have happened overseas, and the cost is very cheap for travelers insurance.

Same here. I usually end up going through the one that has a 33% discount through USAA. It's very cheap and they're good. Squaremouth makes comparing them very easy. Only thing that's not always clear is which companies cover the trip cost if purchased with vouchers or miles and what are those limits. But that wouldn't make a difference for the health coverage. I had to use the coverage twice, once for health insurance and one for trip cancellation, good experience both times.

Depends in each trip, some cases such as pregnancy are excluded by many credit card insurances, even those who cover the mother will not cover the baby in case born during a trip
