Didn't say it doesn't happen, but amongst this crowd, I think most of us are educated enough not to play around with it. And for those freak occurrences, they are few and far between.

Those don't provide full coverage usually. For example the Reserve only covers up to $2500 and only for those on the actual account. Basically if someone has a real emergency with those they are better off filing it as a missing suitcase than an amputated foot.

My experience, had far a better, quicker, easier results from Travel Guard then from Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Keep in mind, Chase does not handle the insurance, it's goes off to Visa who sends it off to someone else

I think it's travelex that the broker sells me. It take 8 minutes on the phone the first time, and now that she has my profile it only takes 2-3 minutes to get covered.

I usually pay less than that for $500K medical evacuation coverage and $250K primary medical besides for all the additional coverages like trip delay, lost baggage, missed connections....

Some lump some reimbursement. But obviously can double dip.
