Goodness is that expensive.$1000+ for NYC<>Catskills RT; $1300+ Lakewood<>Catkills RT.
I wonder if there is really a market for this.
Really depends on how valuable your time is. It you must be in the city/Lakewood late Friday afternoon and want to spend shabbos with the family it will set you back $500+... There are definitely people that will use it
Agreed, but enough to keep them in business?!?
Don't know how the business works.I believe he's simply an agent that his entire expense is website+marketing. Now for the summer he simply got a company that does helicopter trips to add 2 trips.
I could see this working, especially if he can get people to sign up for the whole season. $500 is not a crazy amount of money for a lawyer etc who needs to work a full Fri and wants the peace of mind
When was the last time you heard of someone who went upstate without anything but a briefcase?
When was the last time you heard of someone who went upstate without anything but a briefcase? For one off late friday departures it may work. But as a business model it wont.
This broker's parents were probably in diapers when this was first proposed and tried. They'll lose their pants.
How are they going to lose their pants? They have nothing invested except for a website and advertisement ( which could be expensive ) but it's not alot of money.
I've worked with Wings Air on corporate contracts. This guy likely bought a very large amount of hours at a certain discount. These things add up incredibly quickly, especially considering that WA counts positioning time to and from HPN against your hours. This guy likely invested a ton of money.
