I would wait to book the return shuttle untill the outbound is confirmed.

PWM/BOS both about $175 one way but that is a 3-4 hour drive from ANP.

Book something that's cancellable and look again tomorrow. Decent chance something opens up closer to if you're somewhat flexible.
