I'd say a drop less. I don't think it's a flag per se, but once they review your account (to see if you should be F/R'd) these types of spend make them suspicious.

1. They don't know what exactly you purchased at the 3rd party giftcard merchant.
2. It was suggested above that (at least in some instances) they went to look at how the GCs were used, with cards from a 3rd party they wouldn't be able to do that.

I don't think it's that black and white, but obviously they see some things as riskier than others. They probably won't like anything that'll seem to them like some sort of cash advance.

& if you get F/R & pass, would you say that one can continue to do that, or do you have a hunch they will shut you down??

im in the exact same position as Jay..what i can prove is a fraction of what  i actually wrote. after they see that whats the worst that could happen? just deny the cc? or red flag me so that i cant get anymore for a while?

results are in. out of my four amex cards they emailed me about changes to 3 of them - the charge cards.
i sent in proof of 6500$ income from last year.

they using that info alone (no bank statements)
they cut my charge card limit to
3000 on my personal gold
3000 on my business gold
5000 on my business platinum

i have yet to see what became of my starwood tho?... probably similiar limit but here's to hoping to keep the 18.7k!
