A word of caution regarding cardcash.com
« on: June 27, 2017, 07:58:00 PM »
I've used cardcash.com for a couple years with very few issues.  Lately however, I've been sold "several" fraudulent gift cards with zero balance or outright fraud cards (per the issuer).  They have a strict 45 day "warranty" period.  Even if you check the balance when it arrives and you have $$ on the card, after the warranty period is over the balance can be zero.  I've received several cards with a zero initial balance.  I will not use them again.  If you look at reviews for this outfit, there is a "theme" of late.

Did you try emailing dansdeals@cardcash.com?

I have not emailed dansdeals.....I'll do that...good suggestion.

I did dispute a $100 transaction with cc company tonight but it's outside the "45 day".  Hoping the credit card company can help.

I've lost approx $300 so far.

My suggestion, if you have cards from these folks...use them.

That's why I say every time to use them within 45 days.

Doubt you'll get anywhere outside of that window.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Also used them for while with almost no issues.
Recently half my order was empty cards. I was within the 45 days so had no issues getting a refund.

However found it strange that so many cards had issues.

Exactly! if they tell you the card is only good for 45 days don't expect it to work after 45 days. You have no one to blame but yourself

Why bother with it? Aren't there better dealers out there?

it's not a matter of the card being good. It's that someone else has the numbers and is using it.

So you're cool with wasting your time.  Some aren't.

Cardcash has good rates and earns 5x, the occasional empty card is annoying but still worth it for me, they've always refunded me immediately after emailing.

I've probably ran 7 digits through CardCash in the last 2 years.  The hassles keep increasing.  Regardless  of dansdeals emails or contacting Carol, hassles aren't any way to run a business.

I don't have the exact language but your assertion sounds ridiculous! They are putting a 45 day limitation on their guarantee in the case there is an issue. If you confirmed the amount when initially receiving the cards, any reasonable person would not expect that it must be used within 45 days! The OP raises an important issue far from being obvious its quite a surprise!
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

you are buying gift cards from other people of course others will have the numbers. They are upfront with you and tell you that you must use it in 45 days or they cannot guarantee it. That is the nature of this business. No one is forcing you to buy it. Again they are upfront and they tell you this.

Very simple: if you have an immediate use gen buy it. If you do not wait until you need it and then buy it. You're not gonna beat 20% off hyatt hotels plus 5x etc. so if you feel it's not worth it again no one is forcing you to buy.

Look at it as buying a gift card that expires in 45 days. I don't get all the outrage

Never bought from card cash before but I'm considering it for an upcoming Hyatt andaz 5th Ave stay.
Does card cash instantly email the gift cards?
Would Hyatt andaz 5th Ave allow me to redeem gc's from my phone/email or would it be necessary to actually print the gc?
Risk is opportunity

Usually it's instant although it may take up to 24 hrs. Iirc. (Especially with new customers).

Also before you buy call the hotel and make sure they accept it
