I didn't want to make my own thread for this and i figured i wouldn't be competing with the OP because our skillsets are very different but I am currently employed part time musician with a BM (minor french) from the University of Michigan looking for extra work. I am offering translation services in english/french either way, but as a native english speaker i excel in translating french to english. I lived in paris for a year studying at the Paris Conservatory so I have practical experience in addition to 8 years of classroom experience. I also dabble in norwegian and nordic languages but not good enough to offer professional translation.
I can also teach violin, write well in english (do not consider this post as an example of my writing as I gloss over capitalization and grammer issues on message boards), and do legal research (worked for a law firm for 5 years and am currently attending law school).
I know it is a long shot but I figure I might as well give it a try. Live in Ann Arbor, MI.
edit: not that it will make any difference but in the interest of full disclosure I am a 24 y/o white Jewish male.
