I'll probably be replacing my Note 4 Edge with this or the V30.

With all the software updates of the S8, is there really an advantage of the pen for a regular consumer?

Obviously I don't know what features they will bring on the Note 8 but in the past I always found the pen enjoyable to use but never something I personally felt like I needed.  Though I am sure there are people out there who use their s-pen all the time.

It's also rumored to be bigger than the s8 plus.  Another selling point for some.

I'm most excited to see it's camera. I would imagine the s9 will have a similar camera to whatever the note 8 is rocking.

What did you use it for? The best thing I head was screen shots, but that's so easy on the S8.

@Dan  Wondering why you waited for the Note 8 as opposed to going with the s8 plus...

or were you just really waiting on hearing if the LG had a removable battery?

Was waiting on LG.
But 6GB RAM, dual cameras, and the stylus sound nice now.

And I guess with a trade in price its kind of comparable to what you could get an s8+ for now...

I do NOT understand the appeal of a stylus.

Tell me what you use it for.

When I had a note I really just ended up using it for creative reasons. Writing, drawing etc.  I enjoyed it. But it was by no means necessary.

Some people just prefer it to using their finger.

Exactly. Typing is faster than writing, and how often does someone really draw on their phone... unless you are in a specialized field that needs it, I can't even think of what I'd use it for more than once in a while maybe.

I guess there could be some good games with it

First impressions?
It's huge. It's blazing quick, but don't see any difference between the Note8 and the S8 besides the pen.
