Either way for anyone who missed the whole thing(myself included) there will be another one in 2024. And that one will be a lot closer to where I live. It will pass thru upstate New York.

High Falls County Park, Seneca, SC.
Along the path of greatest totality, with a perfect sky.
We drove from ATL. What should have been a 2 hour drive each way turned into 3.5 hours there and 4 hours back. It's a good thing we left when we did. We made it there by 20 minutes.

Watched total eclipse in Wheatland, Wyoming. Couldn't see a sky full of stars but definitely one or two...it looked like the sky about 20 minutes before havdallah  :P

Quite a few stars were visible, and Venus was prominent. But it wasnt particularly dark so no more than that with the naked eye (and I knew where to look for the other planets and such).
