JFK

Closest Jewish communities are Kew Gardens and Kew Gardens Hills. About $20 with Uber, or take AirTrain to Jamaica and transfer to Q44/Q20 bus for KGH and E train for KG.

From KGH, both the Q44 and Q20 run along Main Street. The express Q44 is recommended, but is only available at busier intersections.

There are plenty of Shuls in these neighborhoods, so please add them to the wiki if you have accurate information about them.

I'll start in the wiki.
And while you're at it, some people would appreciate a mikvah to go to before Davening.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Passaic and Elizabeth are close to EWR , I'm sure that some of those minyanim can be a option.

True, especially if driving. But I'm trying to post only minyanim I know about first hand.

Also, isn't Cedarhurst etc. closer to JFK than KGH especially with possible Van Wyck traffic?

When I flew from JFK recently I davened mincha at the yeshiva in Belle Harbor. Where is best depends a lot on which direction you are coming from/going to.

While I haven't been there myself. I have scheduled flights for my sons with layovers in VIE and TXL where they were able to get to Mikvah and Shul using public transportation.

TXL is especially convenient, with Chabad being about 20 minutes away by public transportation to Konstanzer Straße and a short walk from there. AB flights from JFK and from TLV land at times that allow catching at least קריאת התורה on Mondays, Thursdays and ר״ח, if not full minyan. Also connection time for AB when flying TLV-JFK or vice versa is sufficient for the RT to Chabad and Davening there.

It's closer, but not really on the way from anywhere someone might come from. Personally, the bus to the AirTrain from KGH is my first choice.

Sometimes I’d wish people would stick around but nothing doing over there.

Thanks.

I guess most people are going to neighborhoods they can make it in time for a later minyan if they want.

I wonder if while on the flight you let every person on the elal flight know you are having a minyan if there would be enough staying.
