Google Express memberships are ending in favor of per-store minimums for free delivery
Hi there,
Google Express continues to evolve and expand. Several new stores, including Hayneedle, VMInnovations, and Factory Direct Craft arrange their own deliveries and returns (learn more). In addition, the introduction of Walmart in September will bring a wider selection for your shopping needs.
Express memberships have been discontinued. Starting today, you'll get free delivery when you meet the per-store order minimum ($25 or $35 for most stores). This means you won't have to place a certain number of orders monthly or yearly to make a membership fee worthwhile.
A membership refund is coming. Here's what you need to know:
• You'll be refunded for the time remaining in your annual membership, with August 23 marking its end. Look out for a separate email within the next 30 days letting you know of your refund being processed.
• The refund will appear on the card you used to pay for your membership. You can confirm which card you used under "Subscriptions and services" at payments.google.com.
• If you were already issued a membership refund by our Customer Support team, you don't need to do anything else. Bear in mind the new per-store minimums for free delivery.
You'll also be asked to accept new Terms of Service at checkout. Some of the changes include:
• Most of your orders are protected when shopping with Google Express. Learn more about purchase protection.
• Some stores may apply their own return policies rather than the Google Express policy. This means you can send your return directly to the store.
Thank you for being a member with us -- we hope you enjoy the broader choices and free delivery options.
