How is this different than the Yankees having a no beard rule and the Army having their own hair regulations?
This thing was blown way out of proportion for no reason at all. Per my wife, her school had these rules 20 years ago in Brooklyn. Can you imagine what would happen if someone videoed a chassish school! All of a sudden my frumkeit has to be everybody's frumkeit on the same exact level.
Seems like the general societys way of thinking is rubbing off on us as well.
(in this case, the ruler was brought by the parent)

I have no problem discussing with you whether long hair does or doesn't bring unwanted attention but frankly nobody here or on YW cares about that, the intention of this video/thread was to bash Lakewood on how they're enforcing rules

Are you religious? We practice chinuch.

 Basically in a nut shell, we train our children to observe mitzvos, including tznius, from a young age.
This ensures that when they do become of age, they won't have to adjust their entire life to a Torah living. Pretty basic stuff here.

it's a part of a uniform of length of skirt, socks, shirt, hair, shoes, no make-up, no neon/super bright colors, etc... in some communities this applies only while a student in school. In some areas, this concept is a year-round 24/7 uniform for both children/students and adults/teachers.

I get that and for the most part agree with it but that is not what I am asking. Comments where made that the hair is cut as to not draw attention. What attention are we talking about and from whom?

And therein lies the issue with every frumkeit that involves women in modern times. From erasing their pictures in magazines to making little girls wear tights all the time to this. The women are not the issue. It is the sick perverts that cannot be held to a normal standard where young girls are not objectified. I fully underatand your disgust.
