In short: If after all our attempts to understand why G-d has done certain things, to some extent we will still be forced to rely on the fact that that everything G-d does is just and exact without full comprehension of every detail, then why should we even bother to attempt to understand any of G-d's actions?

That's a philosophical discussion. Life isn't fair. But you cannot assign a direct correlation to things like this. Just or unjust is different than saying that bad things happen because one was bad. And then good things happen when one is good?  Sure it worked for dama Ben nesuna but not for Elisha Ben avuya

So, you believe that life is unjust and unfair. You believe that people are made to suffer even though it's unwanted and undeserved? This is a very important and fundamental question.

Do you not believe that G-d runs this world? Do you think He gave it over to others? True, there are all sorts of things that can be beyond our comprehension. But lacking comprehension doesn't take away from the exactitude, precision and justness in all of G-d's actions.

The problem is when something good happens many claim to know why but when something bad happens those same individuals claim it is beyond our comprehension.

That's actually the core of the issue here: Can we see a correlation and connection between the rebuke and the shortcomings. I agree that if you point to the reasons for the good, you should use that same finger the other way
