I've churned dozens of CO and UA cards without a problem.  Not sure why that would change.

How long do you currently wait between Chase apps? More than the minimum 30 days?

I'm happy sweet-talking the analysts, but I have like 6 or more new Chase cards in the past six months and it's starting to be tough getting approvals.

when you say "churn" how long after closing the card, can you apply again?

Getting back to the Southwest card, is it possible to put your SW number in wife app and bonus will come to you, I know ppl who have put their own OP on their wife app and they (not their wife) got the bonus. If possible, this would be just 10000 short of companion pass, and I would definitely give this one a go. Anybody here try this?

Now the next hurdle is getting approved. Does this card (like the BA) require a $5K minimum (initial) CL? If it does, I doubt I'm gonna get approved, even with recon, considering my recent apps.

I dunno if it requires $5k CL.

Try to move over part of the CL from a different card, or if you already got the spend bonus, offer to close the card.

It's a visa signature card and those sometime require a 5k limit.

Sounds right, considering that my Chase Sapphire Preferred and BA are both Visa signature and both require a $5k CL.

I had the same with the ump card. I was only approved for 3k in credit but they wouldn't approve the card without at least 5k. So I had to close the co op card and move the 5k, so I ended up with an 8k limit.

The CO OP is a Signature card too (requiring $5k CL)? Why didn't you just move $2k over from the OP card and keep it open?

It was the opp card a world mc which also requires a 5k limit. although people have reported that once active you can have the limit reduced without having the card downgraded.
I closed it because originally they didn't want to approve so many recent cards(I had done a double app with the BA) so I convinced them to switch em up.

Do we really think that the 50K points will count toward a companion pass?  That would be great, but when I read the Companion Pass Rules at http://www.southwest.com/html/customer-service/faqs.html?topic=rapid_rewards_program_terms_and_conditions
it says that partner bonuses do not count toward the companion pass.

"Companion Pass Qualifying Points are earned from revenue flights, points issued on Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Credit Cards, and points earned from Rapid Rewards Partners.

Partner bonuses are from non-credit card partners.

Thus a business and a personal +$10k spend = companion pass!

Or 2 or 3 people applying with your FFN may (or may not) work.

First time poster but long time reader. I have been following and applying and have been quite succesful thus far. Thank you Dan and Asher for all!!

I currently have the Chase CO and BA cards. I had to call reconsideration to switch credit around for the BA but I got it. My question is I would like to triple browser for the UA, Saphire, and SW cards. I froze my experian (where I had all my recent pulls from). Before applying for the 3 new ones am I better off lowering credit limits on my BA and CO (or even closing one of them) before applying or should I apply and negotiate that afterwards if I dont get approved?

Nooo. The credit lines are a precious bargaining chip, keep them so you can use them to help push through the new apps by offering to close or transfer CL from those cards. Good luck!

P.s. You might also want to consider freezing your EQ or TU.
