Call Automated system
Says 7-10 days, should wait or call recon.?
And it only said 2 app, does that mean the 3rd didn't go through at all?

IMO, Recon both now, then (if approved) reapply for 3rd

So, I (stupidly) applied for 3 Chase cards last month (I didn't realize at the time the Amazon Prime card was issued by Chase ::) ) and trying to recon now. On the automated check, robo-lady was giving me the "2 weeks" message for one of them, the other two give "7-10 days". I called today backdoor # to recon (very friendly rep) and now the robo-lady gives "7-10 days" for all 3 :-X

I have 3 other Chase cards with combined limits less than what I have with other issuers. I also just PIF all of my existing Chase cards last week. I think I am getting declined because I was 2/30 ... or maybe just because they saw the number of recent inqs that look like I was doing an AOR. I am only at 4/24 FWIW.

Anyway, I ended up PC-ing another Chase card to get one of the 3 I wanted. Can they cancel or withdraw that app? Does that help my case at all?

I plan on HUCA for the Amazon Prime card (I don't need "more" credit, I just want the 5% back) but I wanted to ask the experts here for any negotiating tips first. TIA.

They are all declined, so recon what you want most, (shouldn't be amazon card), if you have three cards you may be able to get an approval by transferring credit

"shouldn't be amazon card" - fair enough! Since I wanted it *just* for Amazon, I'll probably just go for the Synchrony store card instead.

The other card I app'd for is CSR, which I think will be a harder sell (Chase's scoring model put me at only 675  >:( ), and has too much overlap for me with AmEx Plat and Citi AA World Elite (Citi loves me for some reason). I'll keep HUCA and report back.

So, I ultimately gave up. About 5x HUCA and went in branch also (branch banker and manager were not helpful, they just called backdoor# and handed me the phone).

They did not like my high util (0% BT offers) and recent inqs (on EQ at least, also Chase was one of the last ones I app'd this time). They also didn't like that I'd only been making minimum payments on my Chase cards (again, 0% offers).

Sometimes you can sense after 5 HUCAs that you aren't getting too far.

And i think i'm feeling this :'(,
They keep on telling me that i didn't establish enough history to get approved for a card with 5k CL,
my freedom currently only has CL of $1300, so shifting credit not really an option here,
any advice? any Hopes?

How about requesting CL increase!? i'm only scared that then they'll tell me we've just approved you for CL increase, will sound like i'm desperate for credit.
any advice appreciated.
TIA

Don't request an increase, it's a hard pull, maybe update your income and hope for an automatic increase, are you an AU on a card for longer? If you say you are responsible for it that can help
