Don't make me jealous

I was ready to give up after the third phone call, especially when they SEEMED to want to help but swore they couldn't...if not for Marco Polo telling me to keep trying I would have just accepted it.

Experian will not remove AU, it's supposed to be there, you have to actually cancel your AU with credit card, after u cancel you can call EX to remove if still on
Oh, well that stinks. I don't want to do that. I get too much value from the Amex offers. I guess I can close some for a short period of time when I'm ready to apply.

Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

There's nothing really to do, besides huca, huca, huca. No guaranteed method, or anything close to guaranteed.

Data Point:

Got rejected for the Chase Sapphire because of too many accounts in the last 2 yrs. HUCA twice after application went to pending and explained the cards were AU. Agent asked a ton of questions and looked through my checking account to see if I was lying about my income...creepy. Got approved 6 days later   ;D

I guess it is lucky you have a Chase checking account. Wonder what they would have done if not.

Interesting... Perhaps I should mention that some are AUs. I have several Chase bank/investment accounts.

What did they check for? Reasonable balance or actual income coming in?

They asked me for my income and then looked at my checking account and looked at the direct deposits. At first they said I only got paid biweekly which is a lie and they said that would not account for the income I was claiming. I told them I get paid weekly and I have another account not at Chase. I also said I had been a chase customer forever and that I was willing to move a credit line.

Did anyone ever have a HUCA backfire; they look more into you and shut down existing accounts?
