I think it's likely that the hotel is trying to cover their @$$ and are making some mistakes and PR blunders in the process. 

Also, in today's information age we expect to have an answer to everything and understand every incident within a short period.  Sometimes things are inexplicable and we may never understand.

Even if this were true, and the hotel was covering up some mistakes or wrongdoing, their coverup would most likely be uncovered by the feds, and even if it wasn't entirely uncovered, it still doesn't explain the strange silence and lack of information on this story.

What info you want from the hotel? Their hands are tied by the Feds at this point.

Of shooting yes, but the question is what else they knew or should have known and what happened with the changing stories with the security guard and the whole picture. I am only speculating.

It would exactly explain silence and lack of information. If they did something wrong or even if not and they just want to protect themselves from lawsuits they would be as silent as possible. And they would tell their employee the security guard to lay low and keep his mouth shut.

The feds are doing a great job not letting anything leak. You realize we still haven’t even seen a stillshot of him arriving at the hotel or of anything else in the days leading up to the shooting ?
