My Galaxy s8+ dropped dead...

So I tried to turn on my phone tonight, nothing doing.

Tried plugging it in to charge it - nothing.

After trying the 3rd outlet and 3rd different charger (all original samsung and verified good with other working phones) it showed briefly a charge icon then nothing.

I tried everything online, every different combination of buttons, (hard reset, soft reset, recovery...) nothing.

Phone has now been charging for a few hours - still nothing. Nothing lights up, the charging light does not go on.

I also tried wireless charging it - but no go.

The only thing that does happens is - once in a while when pressing the power and another button, a white/black/grey flash (kinda like what those old tv/vhs playing monitors used to show) shows up (one or 2 lines worth, not the whole screen).

Any ideas?

Sounds like it can be a loose wire, but can be a software thing too. How comfortable are you with opening up your phone?

Sounds like it can be a loose wire, but can be a software thing too. How comfortable are you with opening up your phone?
I'm a techie, but I don't like to open anything I don't have to.. Especially something that can void the warranty...

Of course I have a backup, but it seems to be missing a few of the most recent contact that were added.

I don't know what they are called, but this is the one that is close to monsey - doesn't say what "level" it is, but they fixed my wife's phone on the spot a few months ago...
