Apparently the mega project next door to the Leonardo Plaza on King George is going to include a 5* Intercontinental Hotel that will (attempt to) compete with the likes of the Waldorf/King David/DC. There will be apartments for sale as well.

Will be a couple of years before completion but exciting news nonetheless.

I heard it would likely be a JW Marriott, but that was a year ago and I'm sure plans changed. My source is pretty close w the project but he did say that negotiations were still underway at that time.
