Yup, that's why Banana changed from a lifetime return policy to a stingy one.  Wasn't intended to be a free clothing gmach.

But I'm not sure using a shirt for five years and then exchanging it because one got a stain on it, is exactly what they had in mind while drafting such a generous policy.  Moreover, it's instances like this that will cause management to "rethink" the policy.

Another point. What do you tell them is the reason for the return? Do you say because you stained it or do you make something up?

Ok. I am not going to get into nitty gritty about what is called for and what is not, cause I guess it is all a matter of opinion. But there are things on the forum which people do which to me may be questionable and others not. And vice versa.

Quick Question: I have a suit from Joseph A Bank for under a year and it really looks terrible. It has really worn out much faster than it should have and I want to exchange it (for the same suit, same size) . I am wondering if this falls under the purview of the return policy and if anyone has had experience with exchanges such as this. 

This isn't a moral or ethical question; I just want to know if the return would work.

I didn't get any answers on this. However, based on the wording of their return policy, I think it should work. "Your satisfaction is the cornerstone of our business. With 105 years of manufacturing expertise, we guarantee our clothing to be of the finest quality. Every item will give you complete satisfaction, or you may return it for a refund."

Anyway, I sent the suit in today (it was defective).

What do you consider lifetime? Even land's end who claims lifetime is really only 2 years

if you are anyhow going to order from them again won't they just give you store credit? I have had multiple times where I didn't have my receipt and it was way past the amount of days and they gave me store credit. Not only that but they gave me much more than what I paid (bought a suit for $99 and they gave me back $200+)
