Any way to forward all my text messages coming on a Us phone number to an email?

If I am flying abroad and want to receive my text messages from my Us number (T-Mobile service if that helps anyone) can I forward all my text messages either to a Google Voice number or can I set up all my text messages to come in on an email is that possible to be done? Or would I have to carry two phones around just for my text messages from my Us phone number?

 Never used digits before but will play around with it when I get a minute thanks.

You can definitely forward your msgs to a GV # and set your GV account to forward msgs to your email

I don't need them to come into my email I'll be happy if they come in my Google voice text messaging, thought the only way would be is to forward it to my email if I can forward it to my Google Voice text number that would be great as well.

There are apps that forward text messages. I used one called sms forwarder

NO app can forward text messages when the phone is not physically receiving the message. There has to be something on the carrier level. I am now a Sprint customer, so I can't try it, but TMO launched DIGITS, looks like this is what you need.

Verizon has an app called message+ which allows you to see your text messages on any platform that can run a message+ app (android, iOS or Windows). I don't know if T-mobile has anything similar.

T-Mobile digits should work I receive my text messages in Israel on the app phone calls come through as well. The app is a little bit glitchy but it does the job

let's say I would find a phone laying around in my house and pop my T-Mobile SIM in there while I'm away will that allow the messages to be forwarded?

The first question of course is

if T-mobile has anything similar.

If they do then I guess that would work, but you would not have the phone to/from/in airport.

I think VZW Message+ can also receive messages by wifi.

Maybe on first activation. But definitely works even when main phone is off/out of range.
