Anyone have success booking a night with C&P and then upgrading to a suite with Points (not the Diamond Suite Upgrade).

Rep told me I can't do it, DROPR or is this one possibly true?

Might be making this up, but is there a way to have a Hyatt Plat or Dia member book my free nights that came with my CC (since I'm only Gold) to get some of their benefits?

Oh, does the card automatically make you Plat? I didn't realize but definitely assumed you needed more to reach Plat.

Can't be done. Free nights are tied to your account

Okedoke then. Very impressive how many ppl here have elite status with these programs. I assume award stays don't count for most programs, and it's not like these cards give so many nights/points that churning them would get you elite so easily. And even then, status drops after a year, no? I guess this really applies to airline programs too, and I'm just missing something about elite status.

Diamond benefits depend on time of stay IINM, so make sure to status match <60 days before your stay
