The Mori is a very nice hotel. It's on a small quiet canal. Very little traffic. It's very nicely decorated but the rooms are somewhat small (all Venice - and Europe - rooms are on the smaller side)

Just BTW there is a great boat you can take from the Airport Straight to the Jewish Ghetto without any need of walking, it's 12 Euro I believe...

Enjoy...  Why not come visit Afghanistan for your next vacation?! Hotels are far cheaper and we've got the good stuff.... if you know what I mean.

Going with a friend in February that is a big scotch drinker and he has some connections with some distilleries that we would hope to visit

Then fly into Glasgow or Edinburgh (whichever is cheaper). That can be your base to most distilleries

Ireland's got the brews Scotland got the scotch. ..
Would like to plans a trip along this route. BOS to DUB. Stay for a few days (maybe shabbos) then fly cheap Ryanair to EDI for a few days.  Then take overnight train to London for shabbos.  Then somehow get back to DUB for a return flight to BOS using 12.5k avios.

That sounds like a great trip-DUB is still on the bucket list-EDI is one of our all time favorites in Europe-Is this for summer or winter?

Whoa I meant I would love to do the route.  Not that it's in the plans.  Still in yeshiva.  I wish.  Maybe I'll start thinking for summer soon.  Wanna get a minyan?

I was there in the summer-personally i think that is the better time to go because of the fringe festival and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tatoo-which IMHO is a show not to be missed (takes place in August every year)... I can give you some general tips for EDI though....
