another couple looking for vacation help...

havent yet seen a thread with my exact details so here goes - we only have a couple of days starting late on a tue nite and have to be back by the next sun nite/mon morn. dont mind flying but it will prob get complicated since im leaving from catskills (no airport nearby). my main thing is kosher food - not just a shoprite, and were also not such major scenery fans. ive got aa, starwood, continental and ba miles.

all the very local places (ex RI, new hampshire...) it seems dont have kosher eateries - is that true?

If you guys are not major scenery fans then why would you want to go to New Hampshire or RI anyways, even if they did have kosher eateries? what else do you guys like to do besides the food? For food alone you can just come back to NYC for a few days

I actually thought about telling e/o we were going really far and cant b reached and then parking in manhattan - but the weather is awful!! LA is really the best place for us to go now  - but little too far... any other closer ideas?

Don't know much about Toronto but sounds like a cool city and I'm sure there's good food there. If not maybe Montreal. Not a Canada guy personally but let the canadians chime in. You can even drive from mountains.

Florida? Very cheap this time of year

Check out, Mont-Tremblant, QC Canada.
Its a beautifull place nice hotels there, alot of attractions, Chabad minyan in the aera,
Not too far from the Monteal Catskills where all the jewish bungalow colonys are also many yeshivahs, I'm sure there are some places there to buy kosher food.
Don't remember more details I was there many years ago.

Cali is definitely the way to go..headed there with my wife in August. Flight is a joke after flying anywhere transatlantic. Plus you have TV and even internet on a number of carriers. It would be your best bet.
