Avoid Euronet ATMs at tourist sites. The ATM "exchange guarantee" is a scam and hidden fee that should be avoided.

At night I paid $220 FOR RT so do the math.
I paid about the same price for a cab for the day but that was quite a while back. I assume you can work out a deal with any cab off the street.

I was in the Cab for 5 hr to and from destination, and 40 minutes waiting time, and it was at night.

The Dohany synagogue.
The parliament.
Walk over the chain bridge up to the castle.
The actual castle is not interesting IMO.

I asked one of the rabbi's in Budapest, who claimed its used twice a year, RH and YK.
If you don't want to go in, standing by the door you can get a nice view of the synagogue and its pretty amazing. The mesuem and the other stuff I didn't find to be interesting.

There are 1 dairy and 2 meat places.

Meat: Carmel and Hanna.
Hanna was more heimish and Carmel was a better ambiance. Both are far from amazing.

Dairy: Carimama Pizzeria.
Was under construction when I was there a couple of weeks ago for a re-branding. Not sure of the status now. The old place had some good stuff.

Yup.
5 minute walk.
Hanna is in the Kazinczy shul's courtyard, Carmel is next door and the pizzaria is across the street.

Saw this this morning: http://thegate.boardingarea.com/review-hanna-orthodox-glatt-kosher-restaurant/
I'm a bit surprised about being open on Shabbos. They are technically open but officially only if ordered and paid for in advance.

IIRC their goulash was one of the better stuff on the menu.

"... but I was still a little hungry after I was able to eat everything I could", after all it's Hungary. ;)

They are not open for business on shabbos, except for pre-paid meals. The place belongs to the orthodox kehilla.
