Capital One Points
« on: November 28, 2017, 11:56:21 AM »
My grandfather has ~50,000 Capital One points that he is looking to liquidate. He asked me for assistance, but I do not have a Capital One account myself to check the current rewards.
Correct me if mistaken, but it seems there are 3 options: Cash (at .5 cents), Travel (at 1 cent), and Gift Card (varying value?). He does not have travel to book, and would rather not shortchange by getting cash.

My questions for the DDF community are: What is the best way to maximize the points? Is there a very flexible GC option (eg Amazon) that would give a good redemption value? Or a good GC with high resale value? Or are there other better options that I am missing?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the response!
I'm pretty sure it's the basic one cuz he said the cash redemption was a lot less than travel...
