You're delusional
If that is the case then the US should cut all ties to both and let them settle it. Remember America first?

Yes, because that would be in America's best interest. A war breaking out in the middle east ::)

How does that hurt us. Maybe finally we will wake up and realize we don't need their oil.

I'm getting some really tough questions at work from a lot of power execs and its very uncomfortable. I've been asking myself all day what makes this worth it? Which group is it that wants this?
Are they worried about muslim violence ?

You're joking, right? How would a regional war which could easily turn nuclear and/or global be detrimental to the US? I don't know

Can we leave NK out of this.

How would this turn global? With US out of it who is going to be the global players?

What does this have to do with NK? Oh, you actually believe that Iran has stopped developing nuclear weaponry?
Iran, Russia, EU...

Recognizing reality helps keep the expectations of both sides realistic. A false illusion that Jerusalem as the capitol is negotiable doesn't.
+1000000

It actually makes it easier for the Abbas to negotiate. Not now of course, but in the future.
Lets try and put our political views aside. Do you really think Trump is better qualified to make this decision?
Sometimes you need an idiot to do the job.

The world reacts to his decision differently then they would have under Obama/Bush etc. It would've been 100 times worse. The Arab leaders know that too.
Before or after?

It ain't no secret that Iran is funding NK nukes. Unless your neutral across the globe there's no such thing as "staying out" of any region

I dont think trump did it for the right reasons, but it might be a good thing if it breaks the status quo impasse.

That being said, trump didn't really do anything. He said a lot of words, but nothing is actually going to change. If he wanted he could have renamed the Consulate the Embassy instead he is building a new embassy. That will take years and need funds from congress.

And the next president will cancel it...

Last December the US hung Israel out to try in the UN. This December they recognize the eternal capital. Which do you prefer?

In the end of the day this was about fulfilling a campaign promise. But I can't say that I mind.

Yeah no one cared about UN drama. No one actually cares much about the UN.

Why would he fulfill this campaign promise and not any others? ( Not to start a debate over whether the mepharshim could darshen that some have been fulfilled if you are medayik azoi)
I'm an optimist; but only because life isn't going to give me any other good choices.
