It actually does mean exactly that. Maybe not to you and not here on DDF, as the $1000 rate is probably not worth it for you either.

Obviously its all supply and demand here. But I don't see why someone would be willing to sell something like this for $180 when it can easily be used for many times that amount.

Disagree. Not to the seller and not to the buyer (unless they are planning on paying $1k for a room that can be used for the free night). And not even close to Hyatt either.

I booked the Park Hyatt NYC. The only room they seem to ever have available on points is a King size bed. Any one have any experience switching this to the 2 queens?

I will frequently book the hotel first as it is generally cancellable (unless it is within 24 hours)
Then if I don't get paid before I can always cancel it.
