My 5 year old daughter's US passport is expiring four months and her Israeli passport is expiring in 2 months. We are flying in two days ...
Will Israel let us leave as we have a US passport and will US let us return in 14 days since we have an Israeli passport?

If the answer is no, what are my options...?

Thanks in advance.

If I am not mistaken U.S doesn't require 6 month validity of passport so as long as your passport is valid until the date you plan to leave, it shouldn't be a problem.

If you are a US citizen you can enter, no need it to be valid 6 months. Many counties you visit requires your passport to be valid for a certain time frame so that you don't get stuck there but your home country never

Airline may not allow you to fly though.

And I'm being in the US for 2 weeks and need to renew my passport. Where is it cheaper/faster/more convenient to renew, from IL or in the US (a US passport)?

in Israel you can get a new passport within 2 weeks, not sure about expiring, but if you tell them you lost it you can get a new even within 7 days.

The only place you can have a problem is at the check in counter; try to avoid it...

Not sure about that, i think there's a place in Manhattan, if you have a flight scheduled, and your passport is expired than you can get a new, but of course with a full day there waiting,
I'ts prob easier if you do it in Israel unless when you come back you can do it in any post office wait 4-6 weeks.

I think Israel is faster (although consulate is a bigger schlep than library). Price should be same, although you'll have to be a delivery fee in Israel if you don't want to pick it up.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

It’s in Philadelphia, make an appointment, and you can get it some day
In Lakewood there’s a guy called EZpassport that does it for you fast, maybe ask google...

At the Jerusalem Consulate we have done a passport renewal on the spot/next day. (Feb. 2017) You need to bring along proof of your paid itinerary, and all documents/forms you would need for a standard renewal. You need to email them first. Make sure it's clear on the email that it's Urgent.

You got a real passport or emergency travel temporary passport?

+1 The passports that they do on the spot are only valid for 6 months, though you can renew it for free when you get to the US.

I have a PAX who has only an Israeli passport, and the passport expired.
AFAIK flying direct from the US should be ok, but what happens if she has a short stopover (not leaving the airport)in Europe?
Anyone with experience on this?

Non Schengen to Non Schengen transfers requires NO passport control.

If the passport is expired, why do you think they'll be able to fly?

Did ElAl notice? The airline will most certainly deny boarding if they notice the expired passport
