I've applied for a card from Chase, and when I call to check the status, I'm told that I will be notified in writing. From your experience does this mean a definite denial?
I found very interesting, that as long they tell you you will be notified in writing in "approximately 2 weeks"' that means that it is still wasn't reviewed and you still have chances getting approving, and the reconsideration department won't be there to help.
Once the system changed to "you'll be notified in writing within 7-10 business days"' that means that you have been reviewed and you weren't approved instantly, and you could call recon dep. it might be that they only want some security information.
