No direct train. You'd have to take a train to Brussels and continue from there with the EuroStar train.
Has anyone booked Eurostar with Avios on one way from Brussels to london?
According to the help desk, they can only book round trip starting in london...

Planning a quick trip to Brussels (or surrounding area) in June, will be there for only 24 hours or so (7 AM - 6 AM). Should we do Brussels or Antwerp? I see mention of the grand place, the manneken pis, the atomium and mini europe in the thread. Just looking to see main things and have Belgian waffles (tried them for the first time in Victoria, Canada, and loved them).

Bump..please reply (or should I start a new thread :) ).

I have IHG points that I am hoping to use for Brussels hotel. I see 2 options, Holiday Inn : Brussels - Schuman at Breydelstraat 20-24 , Brussels, 1040 , Belgium or Crowne Plaza : Brussels - Le Palace. Suggestions which one to pick?

TIA.

If you only eat Kosher you should come to Antwerp as (AFAIK) there's no place in Brussels that has Kosher belgian wafers at this time.

Hello, I'm going to Belgium next week. Does anyone know any private car rental companies?
I'm 31, but my license is only 10 months old. All big companies require that you hold the license over 12 months.

Is it worth going to Antwerp from Amsterdam for a day trip?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Looking into this as well. Zoo looks fun and I'm told there are nice restaurants in Antwerp.

Definitely. Among other reasons: kosher food, lovely unique Jewish community, very nice city.

One thing that might be really cool is to rent the city bike (similar system as many other cities where you pay for the day/week and than have the first 30/60 minutes free each time)

It’s just about an hour train with Thalys and a little longer with ICE which is cheaper or you can also drive.

I guess this is too late but there’s a direct train from the train statio (Antwerpen Centraal). You can ask anyone on the street to direct you

Not really going to see the Jewish community on a day trip.
Can't bike with 3 kids including an infant.
What makes the city nice?

thanks, I ended up doing exactly that. It runs every 14min, costs ~10euro and is extremely punctual.
