For everyday wear, I invest in better quality, well-made shoes. If shoes are getting worn through very fast, I'd buy a 2nd pair to switch off. Fancy-looking Shabbos shoes are cheap pairs from Amazon or the like.

I'll take a deal if it comes along, but shoes is not something I would go cheap on. Shoes have a long-lasting affect on the shape and development of your feet, mobility, body posture etc.
