I have stayed there before. This wont apply to you, but for us lowly gold members the hotel only offers benefits (ie club lounge, free parking) to their platinum members. But Presque Isle is definitely one of the best kept secrets. About 12 miles of beautiful beaches, and if not for the lack of salt water you would never know that your only 90 miles from Cleveland!

Presque Isle National Park is the main attraction. From the Sheraton you can actually take a water taxi across the peninsula and rent bikes to ride around the park  There is also a cute amusement park called Waldameere Park its a pay as you ride country fair style park. No kosher food or shuls. But there are supermarkets that carry the standard products that would be kosher anywhere else.  There is always the casino if you get too bored!

The Carlton on Madison is the nicest Marrriot rewards property. Their designer suites there are among the top in the city.

There is a also a shul a couple of blocks away with a big Kiddush Shabbos morning and rooms have Shabbos keys and easy steps acess

Anyone have more detailed info? Any decent hotels to stay by?  What are the must see parts of the park? Etc.....

Hi
I was looking to go to Erie for 1 day next Monday and if you put in from Monday 8/5 to Tuesday 8/6 there is no availability. However if you stay for three days 8/5-8/8 there is availability - Does anyone know why and if there is a way around this?
I called reservations and they had no idea why.

I got the same issue (with a different SPG hotel) resolved by calling the hotel

Thank you I made the reservations - Is there a way to cancel or modify online or do I have to call?

Thanks

I am planning a local mini midweek vacation getaway in the ny/nj area.

Im looking for a nice hotel that has a big tub or jacuzzi in the room and an indoor pool in the hotel.

I want something not to expensive, and I will not be booking with points.

Can someone please give me any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

The Wilshire Grand Hotel meets your description.

We've been there, it was very nice.

Make sure to select the suite that has the accommodations you want.

Looking for hotel for 1 night in NYC/LI/NJ area (prefer Manhattan) for this Sunday night for me and wife. Prefer to pay with points if reasonable. Have starpoints, Amex MR, and UR.  Any thoughts, tips, suggestions. Cash is an option too if not crazy (I know NYC can easily be over 300 a night -hence the points).
