Asia Kids Trip with Shabbos Minyanim, Excellent Food & Private Family Swimming!

It's actually only 5 of us (3 kids) and I did only pay for one room at Marina Bay sands.  They are super strict about only allowing 4 people per room (and give you a card for each person to enter the pool and viewing area) plus I refuse to be squashed in one room with my family (others are makpid about flying only in F and J and this is one of my things I need for an enjoyable vacation) so I think I came up with a creative solution that y'all DDFers will like and will explain in that section of the TR! 

It could be you're busy, especially before Pesach  , but know that your DDF trip report readers are looking forward to the next installment and probably curious, as I am, about that creative solution.

Okay mea culpa for my lack of posts, I took a hiatus from logging in but I’m back and will B”H work on this when I’m back from my current vacation (in Panama)

You only get a free 5th night on a standard redemption and I went back and forth about how to book it and finally decided to just pony up and pay the boatload of points for a Residence for 4 nights rather than two standard rooms. If we go back, I think I have an even better way to redeem for a family that I’ll lay out for you all too.

Your stay and unit was awesome but that’s not how I’d book it if I stayed again. Hint: I want the sunken dining table inside the pool.

Most/all of the hotels on Mody Road near KZ are very familiar with observant Jews staying there and will accommodate you on Shabbos. They know they will need to open your room door for you and to give you a low floor over Shabbos, etc.

OK B"H am going to FINALLY do at least a little post this week so there will at least be one on DDF of the Marina Bay Sands!  Plus I do think you will enjoy our silliness of trying to get 5 people into the pool with only 4 pool passes (spoiler, we got it to work, it just took a little "finesse").

And I took this one from the edge, looking out, just such a spectacular view with the Gardens by the Bay down below.  I just love, love Singapore and all the images from planes or anywhere with all the hundreds of ships and you just feel the energy of Singapore as a hub of commerce and trade.




So yes, this was totally just a teaser post  as I'm not really writing anything and skipped our whole time in Thailand but I did post something so that this TR is officially alive again and to be continued...
