Flying in J or F.
Shkoiach, we have not always found it easy to fall asleep even on biz class flatbed seats, but my question applies to all classes, including coach.

I actually find the Bose NC to get in the way when I try to lie on my side.

Don't sleep 24 hours before the flight and you'll be sleeping like a baby, I can only vouch for premuim J and F products.  talking from exprience.

I feel like a lot of this has to do with cabin temperature, I find it hard to sleep when it's really warm.

Was recently on SQ25 and since I couldn't fall asleep I decided to walk around the cabin. When I reached the back, I noticed that the temperature was significantly cooler. I think if I take SQ again in J on A380 I might go for row 96, rather than my usual preference to select something closest to the exit.

I recommend not eating while flying. Keep hydrated, with water and nothing else. And wearing eye masks and ear plugs and 'forcing' yourself to sleep and not take them off seems to work fairly well.

You don't have a bed where you're going?

Travel is a means to an end. I need to properly function wherever I am going.

And sometimes I don't actually have a bed where I am going.
