Late Checkout for Shabbos
« on: July 29, 2011, 03:38:52 PM »
Many hotels worldwide will accomodate shabbos observers.

E.G. Hyatt Maui gave me until 9pm to checkout due to shabbos.
I found this quote in an old thread. I am staying in the Hyatt Regency Churchill in London in August and plan on leaving leaving on Motzei Shabbos. My wife and I are trial diamond members. What is the best way to go about getting a late checkout (around 9:30 PM).
If they deny me late checkout, what are the logistics of checking out on Shabbos (as to the Halachik issues, I will ask my LOR).
Thanks for your help.
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Even if they don't let you stay in your room, they'll hold your bags in storage until after Shabbos.
Just make sure you have what to do for the afternoon.

Which SPG hotels in NY/NJ would be most accommodating to a late checkout next motzei shabbos? And which are the most shabbos friendly? I'm flexible as to location.

Hi - I'm planning on spending a shabbos at the Sheraton Four Points in Miami Beach in a couple of months. Does anyone have any experience there with a late checkout motzoei shabbos? I believe I should get a 4pm checkout with Gold status, but I would want to stay till after shabbos (around 6:30pm)

thx

Any practical guidance for someone checking out on shabbos?
We have other family staying longer so we can move our stuff over to their room.
