UNITED AIR MILES EXPIRATION

Hello everyone,

My wife and I have miles with United that expired on March 31. I had a computer calendar reminder to transact something to preserve our miles but, since it fell out on Pesach, I didn't see it until I got on my computer the next day after Shabbos/Yom Tov when the miles had already expired. I appealed to United to reinstate the miles due to religious observance but they replied with a form letter about the many ways I could do so that would cost me money, like buying the miles back. They do make exception for medical reasons or military service but religion apparently doesn't count with them.

Any suggestions or assistance on what can be done?

To the community at large: Does anyone have 2 separate receipts to spare in last 6 preferably or 12 months from any of hotels or car rentals below to revive expired United miles?
