It seems the thief's know what's a warm coat and what's not.
I wear it in Canada, and it's warm enough for me
So we have a coat that doesn't fit the specs, one that doesn't exist anymore (or at least not for a few months), and a generic one I can get locally that I didn't want to replace. Thanks for the effort, folks - if anyone else gets lucky, lmk?

Not exactly shocking that it's hard to find a good coat in April.....try Australia
It's not hard to find because it's April. It's hard to find all year round. A men's knee-length parka is for some reason a rare item online. Maybe it's changed but every winter for the past 3-4 years I have looked and never found anything close to what I was looking for.
It's totally sexist. There's a million choices in women's full length coats.
What's wrong with the LLB?
I want real down/feather. The best coat I ever owned was the lands end. Nothing else ever came close. The one I posted is OK, bit that's it.
I actually asked in store a few months back and they said they stopped making them.
I grabbed a $60 topcoat from https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/apparel-deals/clothing/save-70-off-jos-bank-clearance-sale-wool-cashmere-scarves-5-38-suits-58-20-dress-coats-41-99/ figuring that ... at the utter worst, I'm out $60. They had a nice navy full-length in my size. No hood, but ... $60.
Top coats are not hard to find. It's full length parkas for men that are hard to find.
Been gone for many years AFAIK.LL Bean should come back in the fall.
This is the best I've found and it should meet all of your requirements:https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/apparel-deals/clothing/today-25-off-plus-free-shipping-l-l-bean-noreaster-knee-length-gore-tex-commuter-coat-201-98-off/Alas it sold out for the season once I posted it on DDMS.
