They just haven't gotten around to fixing it.
I still don't see how Amex could afford to not give 3 points per dollar to have a significant advantage over Chase. They're losing on the high end with the CSR ($300 "no questions asked" travel credit and easy redemptions at 1.5).

Now, not only don't they have an exclusive on the best co branded card, it's not even a compelling option to spend on anymore, so they lose big time on their (assumed) main source of profit, the interchange fees.

That's what I wrote in several DDMS posts. Crazy.

What was Amex paying pp? Maybe they are trying to get people to grab an MR card now, and we'll see some improvements there
I'll tell you later

What's really ridiculous is that Amex isn't even matching the earning rate on airfare that the Ritz has, 5x vs 3 isn't even close.

no reason to publicize this. I have a feeling they will fix the award chart before it comes out. These prices are too good to be true.

Anyone know if Sheraton lounge access for SPG Business CC will end Aug 1, or will continue till the end of the annual fee?

@Dan any ideas about this?

What no one is taking about is what will happen to all the existing certificates that are based off of the old categories? Will we be able to book cat 1-5 hotels even though there will be more hotels and less categories? If that is the case the value of the certs would shoot up. Some people were saying you may need to use points to redeem the certs however the certs are actually paper certificates (which they sometimes mail you) outlining exactly what you can do with them. I doubt they would change the terms so drastically... Any thoughts?
