What happened to humanity ?? These guys took a solid performing airline and turning it into spirit, or worse. When do they plan on devaluing their miles??

Saver Fare tickets will not be changeable or concealable and those who hold these tickets are not eligible for upgrades.

Too bad. I love concealable tickets!

Everyone is going to have these besides Southwest. Get used to it.

The problem is that they are starting to introduce these internationally, too.

Once upon a time every airline allowed 3 free 70 pound bags. This trend will never end as long as people are frugal.

Tickets to EU are hovering about $400 including baggage, now they're going to charge the same without baggage.

+1 Everyone complains about how bad it is, but then when the price is $20 more, they choose BE. Don't buy it, and it will go away.

Alaska needs to compete, same as everyone else.

Same thing for every domestic ticket that came with 3 bags of 70 pounds each. Life goes on.

When do they plan on devaluing their miles??

They are devaluing the program a drop: "Going forward (and I don’t have the exact date on this yet), those fees will apply after the 24-hour purchase window has expired. Alaska describes this as “ending change fee waivers”, but in practice this is the addition of a $125 change/cancellation fee to both paid and award tickets.?
