Getting to TLV from NYC. Summer 2018

Starting a thread for folks that need to be in TLV this summer.
Current direct fares are at about $1400+ on Elal, Delta, United. 

Im hoping to find another $872 delta deal like this https://www.dansdeals.com/airfare-deals/delta-jfk-tel-aviv-nonstop-for-just-872-round-trip-for-travel-this-summer/

lowest i can find for July - Aug dates is from WOW for $880 but im going to gamble and keep hunting for a direct deal.


Any ideas or insights are much appreciated. TIA.

Maybe with SAS you can do well if you have a bunch of kids...and willing to have a stopover (and separate bookings)
