I actually took this test. I'd say it was made pretty well and gives a pretty good estimate what your IQ is. The test takes 1 1/2 hours each (if I recall correctly) and there's two tests in it.

Curious what you are basing this on.

Nothing scientific. Just that it was made better than other iq tests I've seen. And that it's coming from someone from Mensa.

No. I mean, there are probably lots of them, but never trust any IQ test online - they are worthless. And this book is likely worthless, too. By worthless, I mean that they lack the psychometric qualities that make these tests meaningful. They can be fun, and I guess you may get some information about your functioning in various areas, but most of what they spit out isn't all that useful.

Disclosure: I know nothing about this book. But I know a lot about IQ tests (the real ones) and administer them regularly as part of psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.

Sounds interesting. Can you give me some example questions that do have psychometric qualities?

It's not so much the questions themselves (although to be valid, they do need to be assessing what they purport to be assessing...). It's more the test as a whole - a test needs to be carefully developed and tested for reliability and validity, and normed on a population similar to the one the test is used for.
