but we found that strong smelling things like cashews worked well.
also it says that u cant use rechargeable batteries but we did bec that thing uses up battery life pretty quickly

i just noticed that the link u gave is for an updated zapper. i had used the older version - the classic and that took aa batteries

i paid 150 each for a carpenter and exterminator have not had a problem since we have a 1 bedroom apt and they came and fixed the problem and we are mouse free for 4/5 months now oh and we have the mouse zapper thing and glue traps and we caught about 10 mouse

this was before i brought in a pro thats how many i caught while waiting for my building management to deal with the issue

the idea is to get rid of the mice once and for all, putting traps and poison wont stop the mice of coming,
i have a 2 bedroom apt. called exterminatior to do a mice proofing paid $500 since than no problems, 6 years now.

unless you build a bunker I doubt that will work in NYC...

This is going to sound like I'm a crazed hippie but try peppermint oil. Find the spot or spots that its entering you house trough and put a cotton ball of peppermint oil there. They can't stand the smell and your house will smell like pepper mint
