SharePod and ephPod will allow you to transfer to any computer (though you might) need iTunes installed for the iPod drivers, but I don't think either of these programs works for getting music out of iTunes.

Check the folder where iTunes stores the music, as I'm under the impression the tracks are stored there with full ID3 tags and (perhaps) the only thing you might need/want to do is rename them (I've seen free utilities that do this).

Not intenting to Hijack the thread, but I want to transfer from itunes to a regular folder on a pc, but the quality somehow becomes poor. by the speed it copies, its not possible that it converts the music  (ie lower bitrate and such).

Well not sure if they work the same but with ipod I just downloaded itunes to new computer then plugged in my ipod and it asked me if I wanted to sync and let my ipod be connected to this computer also. It was really easy. Id read up doing something like that. Or contact tech support.

There's no way the quality is degraded by simply dragging and dropping the files. Re-encoding/converting the files would take time to process, so it's likely that isn't happening.

What format is the music in? If it's m4a/AAC files, perhaps the other program you're using to play the files is using different codecs to decode the files, and the quality is lower there.

Codecs aren't usually per program, but rather shared between the audio/video programs.

To play music I use BS-player, and never had issues...

Floola Desktop might help for getting it out of itunes, for transferring, I'd use a hard drive, that's probably the quickest, easiest way to do it (although you can use your ipod as a portable hard drive).

I tried putting a new CD from iTunes (on my PC) to an iPhone, but it shows on the phone with a random album art (from another CD I own). I tried a few times, and each time it puts a random album art.

I tried Googling and found some others with the same issue, but I couldn't find any solutions. (My search was limited to certain sites because my filter blocked others.)

Did anyone have any experience with this? Or do I have to continue thinking I'm hearing the Marvelous Middos Machine when I'm in fact listening to Chaim Yisrael?

Try using this program to remove the old album art and replace it with the correct one
