Travel to Mongolia
« on: May 16, 2018, 11:49:23 AM »
My husband and I are honeymooning in Mongolia in July. (We were looking for off-the-beaten-path...)
We are traveling in 3 other countries before Mongolia, and all of the other destinations have access to Kosher food.
Has anyone ordered kosher food online to be delivered to another country?
I found a website that is willing to do this, and shipping is only $65... but any firsthand experience or suggestions are welcome. (Someone suggested bringing powdered yogurt.... we are open to any/all tips! But we don't want to bring much with us since we are trying to travel very light.)
Thank you  :)

I think your safest bet is to bring some food with you and find local sources for - fish, fruits, veggies
the local milk/yogurt/kumis will be horse milk :)

https://homekosher.shop/ looks interesting. Thanks for the suggestion  :)

When I was poking around online, I also found https://kosher-box.com/ and they say they can deliver to Mongolia.
Anyone have any experience with them?

I would not rely on international shipping for food, as there's no saying what will happen at customs.
