Traveler Beware
Looking for a flight? Do NOT use kiwi.com A two part flight required retrieving baggage off 1st plane then going through check-in for the second leg, instead of a simple transfer as everyone else on the flight was able to.  Had we gone through the airline directly for the same price all would have been fine. The problem was the 1st flight left late, so arrived late, and by the time the luggage came out and we got to the check in, the flight was closed and we were left stranded. Kiwi advertises guarantee to make the flight or a refund. We called and were told they would get back to us in 2-4 hours but there was only one flight out leaving in 4 hours that if not made we would not make our destination in time. We waited 3.5 hours and no response, so did what we needed and bought the ticket to get to where we needed on time. We called to let them know and that the ticket cost $536.00+/- (more than the original whole trip) We filed a refund application on April 12 they told us to wait 30 days and now on May 24 after another half hour on phone they sent us a whopping $29.38 refund. We did not expect the full $536 spent but at least the value of the second leg of the flight which based on averages was around $170.00. We have no idea why this company exists or what service it really provides. There is zero added value or benefit from using them. We will be leaving this review on other sites as well to save people from this very unpleasant experience.
